... in Tokyo and slept through the dull roar. Now I can ad to my list a starbucks at 5am in a major airport.
I'm sitting in Dulles Airport in Washington DC, contemplating just how long I can go without having to haul all my stuff over to the one place which serves breakfast I can eat (a place called California Tortilla- "Authentic mexican!" We shall see....) I've had mexican food for my last 3 meals. I figure I'm not going to be able to eat it for the next 3 months so I might as well get my fill of it.
My flight out of Denver was delayed an hour and 15 minutes because some pesky thunderstorms to the East of Denver were restricting take-offs to a very specific flight pattern. One airplane was allowed to take off every three minutes and they had one runway open. Let's just say a quick thanks that it wasn't a weekend with more flights leaving.
I arrived in Dulles at 2am local time, and had to walk from one end of the terminal to the other to reach my connecting flight's gate. I passed the time in the wee hours of the morning by painting my toenails, watching Stardust, and attempting to sleep. I apparently didn't choose the best spot(next to starbucks) cause I got about 45 mins of in-and-out sleep before the morning rush for caffine started. Oh well, I've got my own coffee and am now awake.
I'm excited for this next leg my journey and the next time I log on, I'll be in lovely England! I'm hoping that my shuttle and customs go off without a hitch!
Tootles for now!
