I AM USING MY NEW MINIMED PUMP!
I got my pump on Friday and have just today put in a new sensor and programed all the fun stuff like the BolusWizard, basal rates, and the information for my senor. Let's cross our fingers that it's going to work like it says! (And is worth all the effort to get it so fast!)
Also, Staci informed me earlier today that Avo's has salsa dancing tonight. I'm so stoked cause I thought there wasn't going to be any tonight, the place that had been hosting it cancelled it. So now it's at Avo's. I'm pleased as punch.
I also did some Jillian Michaels (she kicked my butt as usual) and a FitnessTV abs lady. I was SWEATIN'! It was good and totally needed because I was all cranky this morning and unnecessarily snapping at my poor mother. Sorry mom!
I planned how to get from the airport to my hostel, tried to learn the layout of London and the tube system. I re-activated my abroad number (email me if you want it, otherwise my skype is emalemmaly - are you picking up on a theme with my screen names?), researched things to do at an over-night layover in Dulles Airport (nothing, is about what I figured out) and have started to pack all my diabetes stuff. I have it all basically and I'm pleased with how little of space its taken up. My next packing project is toiletries, medication (non-diabetes related) and bathroom stuff. I have to do laundry before I can pack that and the machine isn't available until my mom gets done with hers.
I ate a small amount of the rest of my gluten free red velvet cake cupcake to test my milk tolerance again today. So far I'm feeling okay, a little scatter brained and my stomach was a little rumbley right after I ate it, but other than that I'm doing alright! (Exciting isn't it?)
Well, in 2 days and 30 minutes I will be starting my travel excursions. *sigh*
